From November 10 to 13, 2026, the island of El Hierro will host the 1st International Conference on Renewable Energy (ICRE El Hierro 2026), an international scientific congress whose mission is to become a leading technical meeting point in the field of renewable energy and sustainability.
The paper, titled “Pilot-scale evaluation and optimization of osmotically assisted reverse osmosis (OARO) for concentrating real SWRO brine,” evaluates, at pilot scale, an integrated brine concentration process that combines osmotically assisted reverse osmosis (OARO) technology with a conventional RO pre-concentrator stage, using real seawater reverse osmosis (SWRO) brine pre-treated by nanofiltration.
