The seventh and final meeting of the Sol2H2O project took place on November 11 and 12 at the University of Évora, marking the conclusion of an important cycle of collaboration.
Throughout the two-day meeting, all Work Packages (WPs) were thoroughly discussed and reviewed, allowing for a comprehensive assessment of the activities carried out, the results achieved, and the tasks that remain to be completed before the project’s conclusion. Each partner presented the current status of their work and outlined their plans for the final stages, ensuring a shared understanding of progress across the consortium.
Building on the strong partnerships and knowledge developed throughout Sol2H2O, new collaborations and future projects are already being planned, ensuring the continuation and expansion of the work initiated within this consortium.
Among the activities carried out there was a visit to the pilot plant for the production of desalinated water and brine valorisation, developed within the framework of the project (Joint Research Activity).

The Sol2H2O project is anchored in the DESAL+ LIVING LAB ecosystem and aims to enhance network creation with the Coordinator Widening Partner, raising its research profile through the exploitation of synergies among its staff and infrastructures in the establishment of a European reference facility for the development and testing of solar-powered circular water production and treatment technologies. It is funded by European resources through the Horizon 2020 programme.
