The first edition of the International Conference on Renewable Energy, ICEREH, will take place on the unique island of El Hierro from November 10 to 13, 2026. El Hierro is not only the setting for our conference, but also its star. Known as the “sustainable island,” this small jewel of nature is a global leader in the energy transition thanks to the Gorona del Viento Hydro-Wind Power Plant . Its geographical location, at the westernmost point of Europe, makes it a natural laboratory for innovation. Thanks to its commitment to renewable energy, it has achieved energy self-sufficiency, demonstrating that a sustainable future is not only possible, but is already a reality.
During these days, we will explore the advancements, challenges, and opportunities in the field of renewable energy, inspired by the pioneering spirit of our host island. Join us at this unique event to connect with experts, share knowledge, and be part of the change toward a greener future.
